Communications
Communications DeptMelrose Park Police Department has partnered with Norcomm Public Safety Communications, Inc. for our dispatching needs. Staffed by a team of trained professionals, dispatcher and equipment costs are shared amongst several villages.

The result is a cost savings for the taxpayers of Melrose Park while improving 9-1-1 service to our community and its visitors. 9-1-1 operators are trained to utilize Melrose Park standard operating procedures to provide service to the Village of Melrose Park. Operating at a state of the art facility, these operators are proudly servicing the Melrose Park community.

Inside the Melrose Park Police Department, our former dispatch office is staffed by a team of Community Service Officers who are trained in several aspects of Police service. CSO’s will handle all walk-in traffic to the Police Department, as well as handle report taking and clerical duties.

The Communications Department answers all 911 emergency calls placed in the village, including all calls directed to the Police and Fire departments.

The Communications Department can be reached 24 x 7 by dialing 911.

The non-emergency number is (708) 344-8409.
