Parking Policies

  • Street Sweeping & Snow Removal
    Please review the signs posted throughout the village.


  • Summer Parking
    Additional parking is allowed from April 1 - October 31 in Central Melrose Park 6:00 PM Friday until 9:00 AM Monday
    .

  • Ordinance on Truck Parking
    Melrose Park Police Department Parking Ordinance - MUST BE FOLLOWED -

    • No trucks may be parked on any street or alley between 11:00PM and 6:00AM.
    • Noncommercial trucks may be parked on private property under the following conditions:
      • The parking area must be paved
      • The vehicle must not be in disrepair
      • Must have Class D or below license plates
      • Cannot have visible ladders or construction equipment on the truck
    • Commercial trucks may not be parked on private property between 11:00PM and 6:00AM except if emergency repairs are being done at that location.
    • All trucks may be parked in commercial or industrial zones in private parking lots anytime.

Parking Permission

  • If you are having work performed to your property requiring you to park on the street or expect to have additional cars being parked overnight, download the Parking Permission form, complete and drop it off at the Police Department.

Parking Ticket Mediation

  • If the recipient of a parking ticket wants to requests a review of the parking ticket, download the Parking Ticket Mediation Form, complete and drop it off at the Police Department. Police Department staff will review the request and notify the recipient by mail if the ticket has been excused or if the ticket can be reviewed in court.

No cases will be mediated after a delinquent notice has been mailed.

C & P Ticket Info

  • All C & P tickets can be paid online by credit card, or at the Police Department by cash, credit card or check on or before the due date printed on the ticket every day of the week. Receipts for payments are only available Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM .

  • Additional penalties are accessed for tickets not paid on-time.

  • Court for C & P tickets is held every 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Melrose Park Court House (next to the Police Station) starting at 6:00 PM .
