MELROSE PARK POLICE NEWS RELEASE

Offender:  Aldo, Ortega, M/W, 25 Y.O.A.
Brief  Summary: A search warrant was executed on May 11th at 1537 N. 17th Avenue, Melrose Park for an on going investigation involving a Melrose Park resident possessing and sharing images of Child Pornography on a personal computer. Offender Aldo, Ortega was identified as the individual, who was possessing and sharing images of child pornography from his home.  The subject’s computer revealed over 1500 images of Child Pornography both pictures and video clips of children under the age of 18, some of whom were under the age of 13 who were engaging in sexual acts.

Ortega was arrested at his home, 1537 N. 17th Avenue, Melrose Park on May 11, 2011 at approximately at 6:00PM.
This investigation was based on an on going undercover investigation by the members of the Melrose Park Police Department and the Chicago Police Department, who are active members of the Cook County State’s Attorney Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

Charge:    1 count of Aggravated Child Pornography
D-Bond Amount:   $40,000.00 10%
